Man, I can’t hold it any longer – gotta go baaad!

Baby did a bad bad thing by neglecting his blog for so many days.

But alas, when family and dear ones fall ill, one’s priorities change and my time is needed elsewhere. (That’s why it’s so important to have a bunch of posts in the que ready to go when Life Happens)

HUEY LEWIS and the NEWS @ Busch Gardens MArch 21st, 2010

Well, it only took about 25 years, but I finally saw Huey and the News in concert. The guy is almost 60 but man, him and the band can still rock it.  I was most impressed by their impromptu acapella rendition of So In Love (50s ballad).

The set was about 90 minutes and they played tons of hits. Man, I didn’t realize how many hits they’ve had.

And thank god it didn’t rain like it did @ Derby Lane the year before where the concert was cancelled.

Goin’ back to the 70s… Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?

The mad painter or Number painter as I knew him was a favorite of mine. He was played by Paul Benedict.  Maybe cause he was silly, rebellious, naughty – vandalistic – that made me want to paint murals and the like.

Also, this one – Number 8, did a bit of Benny Hill style fast forward sketch comedy. . . which is why I probably loved watching Benny Hill when I was allowed. Hmm… sesame street prepping a young kid to appreciate more risque comedy? And Disney places subliminal sex messages in their anime.

Wouldn’t this be a funny gadget to have?

an opinion on VALENTINE’S Day

Not just another day – it’s a manufactured holiday forced upon people… those who are in a relationship feel obligated to do certain overtures whilst those who are without a significant other get the option to feel like crap.  Not that I don’t have a Valentine or am jaded, I just hate being told what to do based on someone else’s idea or invention.  Any day can be a special day or your own personal holiday. Now  an anniversary, that there’s a good one.  It’s meaningful to YOU. IT has personal significance to your life. Ah, but the difference is an anniversary is not an official holiday.  For me, I love to just be spontaneous and do something without being pressured by some holiday that goads me into it.

How to Avoid Failing Miserably At Making Money Online

When you have been putting in the hours and still haven’t experienced success online in the form of money coming in and a growing opt-in LIST, then you need to ask yourself if you’re truly being productive or  just being busy.

Although this advice seems like common sense, there are just too many distractions and time wasters vying for your valuable time and attention.

You Must FOCUS your time on the things that are PROFITABLE.

For example, do not spend large amounts of time investing in learning a new skill that you can easily pay someone else a minimal fee to do for you.

If you do, you are being penny wise and pound foolish and I dare say may have control issues needing to be addressed.

An example of this would be spending time to learn graphic design and web design.

This is a very time consuming skill to learn.

There are plenty of skilled people available to supply you with what you need for a nominal fee.

Ask yourself, what is my time worth?

How many hours will I spend to learn this skill to the point of proficiency that can match the quality I would get from paying someone else to do it for me?

Here’s some examples of Money Making Activities:

• Networking: i.e. Twitter, Facebook, forums
• Lead Generation
• Copywriting
• Pay Per Click Marketing
• Driving Traffic
• Talking to Leads, learning how to close on the phone
• Making new contacts and Building Releationships

In order to be successful, you must weed out all the distractions that suck your energy and your time.

You have to create an environment where you can hyper focus on all of hte things that matter the most and create the results you are after.

Your Blog TAGLINE is essentially a short description or phrase next to the name of your blog that tells the reader what your blog is all about.

To illustrate:

Yourdomainname.com – After that comes a tagline or phrase that represents you and your blog.

Real Example:

TerrypCarter.com – An Experiment In Lifestyle Design |Perpetual Evolution | Unlimited Imagination

Ok, so mine is a work in progress and rather esoterically broad in description.  That’s just me.

Here’s some questions to help you decide what a good Tag Line is for your blog:

• Direct Benefits – What will readers get out of your blog?
• What are you looking to create?
• What is your Purpose?

Write down a few words, a quote, or sentence that articulates it.

Remember that your tagline does not need to specifically mention EVERYTHING you blog about.

It’s just the overall umbrella or flavor that your blog topics fall under.

Don’t say, JoeShmo.com Showing how to make money online thru seo, ppc, social media, and everything else under the sun.
